Squads Announced for New Zealand, Japan, Nigeria, Denmark and Spain

New Zealand:
1. "Two players, Winston Reid and Aaron Clapham are part of the squad selected having never played for the national team before. If you have a New Zealand passport raise your hand - it appears they are desperate for players. "

"New Zealand have named a preliminary 23 man squad for the World Cup in South Africa. We are calling it preliminary because they have three weeks before the FIFA squad deadline and things can change between now and then."

Japan:
2. "Hot on the heels of New Zealand naming a 23 man squad, we have the news that Japan have named a squad also."

"It appears that national football managers all over the planet are going squad naming crazy today despite having three weeks left before having to officially submit 23 man squads to FIFA."

Nigeria
3. "Lagerback resigned as head coach for Sweden after failing to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa and he has taken his time before naming this squad to play in Group B in South Africa against Argentina, Greece and Korea Republic."

"Nigeria manager Lars Lagerback has today named his 30 man provisional squad for the 2010 World Cup despite only being in the job since February."

Denmark:
4. "From this list, Denmark coach Morten Olsen has to name a 23 man squad which is why Stoke City keeper Thomas Sorensen is included despite having an injury."

"In what is turning out to be a big day for naming your preliminary squad for the 2010 World Cup we are not let down by Denmark, who have today joined quite a few other countries in naming preliminary squads."

Spain:
5. "Del Bosque will trim the squad down ahead of Group H games against Chile, Honduras and Switzerland."

"Spain have announced the 30 man preliminary squad for the 2010 World Cup. They have until June 1st to trim the list to 23 and they will use this time to check on the fitness of Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas."
