Honduras Injury : injured players Wilson Palacios and David Suazo

Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda received some rare good news on Sunday with encouraging fitness reports on injured players Wilson Palacios  and David Suazo

Honduras, winless in their last five games heading into a World Cup Group H campaign against Spain, Chile and Switzerland, saw Tottenham midfielder Palacios leave Saturday's 3-0 warm-up defeat to Romania on a stretcher with a shin injury.

Palacios was taken to an Austrian hospital for tests on the injury to his shin, while Suazo had left the field with a problem with his right leg.

"I thought I had a pulled muscle but thank God everything is good,'' Palacios said at the Honduras training base in Austria.

Team athletic trainer Carlos Velasco said the outlook for both players was good, although Palacios' problem would take longer to heal.

"We all thought Suazo's was a simple, little injury in his right leg,'' Velasco told Honduras newspaper La Prensa. "We're taking it seriously but we have to wait (longer) for Wilson because he has for some time had some stiffness and we have some concerns.''

Honduras open their campaign against Chile in Nelspruit on June 16.
