Julio Cesar is missing his 1st match after two year, warm up match

Julio Cesar's run of 26 consecutive starts for Brazil will come to an end on Monday after the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the goalkeeper will miss the country's friendly against Tanzania.

Julio Cesar last failed to appear for his country in a game against Venezuela in June 2008 but will not travel for the game against Tanzania due to a back injury.

"Julio Cesar will not travel to Tanzania with the Brazilian team," the CBF said in a statement. "He will continue working with the physiotherapist."

In Julio Cesar's absence, Tottenham's Heurelho Gomes and Doni of Roma will be in contention to start for Dunga's side.

The Inter Milan 'keeper sustained the injury in a 3-0 win over Zimbabwe last week. His participation in the World Cup finals is not thought to be in doubt.
